Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Natura morta con le mele by Giuseppe Ajmone was auctioned at Christies in Milan in June last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,134.00. Admittedly, works by Giuseppe Ajmone have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pallido sole in December 2021 with an auction result of EUR 8,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Natura morta con le mele von Giuseppe Ajmone im Juni letzten Jahres bei Christies in Mailand versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.134,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giuseppe Ajmone auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pallido sole im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.500,00.
