Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Composizione by Giulio Turcato was auctioned at Christies in June last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 27,720.00. Admittedly, works by Giulio Turcato have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Grande Reticolo in November 2006 with an auction result of EUR 251,175.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Composizione von Giulio Turcato im Juni letzten Jahres bei Christies versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 27.720,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giulio Turcato auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Grande Reticolo im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 251.175,00.
