Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pan and Syrinx by Giulio Carpioni was sold in the Old Master Paintings and Sculpture auction at Christies in London in December 2019. The price achieved of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,728.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Giulio Carpioni have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Worship of Venus in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 79,250.00 (€ 97,737.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pan and Syrinx von Giulio Carpioni wurde im Dezember 2019 in der Auktion Old Master Paintings and Sculpture bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.728,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giulio Carpioni auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Worship of Venus im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 79.250,00 (€ 97.737,26).
