Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2007 Sothebys in Milan held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Apollo E Marsia by Giulio Carpioni. The price achieved of EUR 30,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giulio Carpioni - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Worship of Venus, which sold at auction in December 2012 for GBP 79,250.00 (€ 97,737.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2007 führte Sothebys in Mailand die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Apollo E Marsia von Giulio Carpioni zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 30.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Giulio Carpioni mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Worship of Venus beobachtet, die im Dezember 2012 für GBP 79.250,00 (€ 97.737,26) versteigert wurde.
