Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings Part I And Part II, which included the work Saint Catherine by Giuliano Bugiardini. The price achieved of USD 61,000.00 (€ 39,182.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuliano Bugiardini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of a young gentleman, half-length, in a blue doublet and white shirt, with a black hat in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 1,350,000.00 (€ 1,168,628.81).

Im April 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings Part I And Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Saint Catherine von Giuliano Bugiardini zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 61.000,00 (€ 39.182,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giuliano Bugiardini erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of a young gentleman, half-length, in a blue doublet and white shirt, with a black hat im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.350.000,00 (€ 1.168.628,81).
