Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Pablo Neruda at Home, Chile by Gisèle Freund for USD 242.25 (€ 214.04). This price was achieved in the auction The Gift of Photographs at Bonhams in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gisèle Freund achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Mains De Suzana Soka [Sic!', 1938 'James Joyce Avec La Loupe', 1939 'Virginia Wolf', 1939 'Samuel Beckett, Paris', 1964|AID157746] in November 2014 with an auction result of EUR 6,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Pablo Neruda at Home, Chile von Gisèle Freund für USD 242,25 (€ 214,04) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Gift of Photographs bei Bonhams in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gisèle Freund erzielen.
