In January 2013 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master & Early British Drawings & Watercolors Including an Important Canadian Collection and a Distinguished Private Collection, which included the work Venus At The Forge Of Vulcan (Recto And Verso) by Girolamo Brusaferro. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,220.70), 46% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Girolamo Brusaferro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Samson Freeing Himself in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 75,650.00 (€ 90,960.60).

Im Januar 2013 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master & Early British Drawings & Watercolors Including an Important Canadian Collection and a Distinguished Private Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Venus At The Forge Of Vulcan (Recto And Verso) von Girolamo Brusaferro zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.220,70) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Girolamo Brusaferro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Samson Freeing Himself im Juli 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 75.650,00 (€ 90.960,60).
