Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Old Masters Part II, which included the work The Expulsion Of Adam And Eve by Girolamo Brusaferro. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 32,500.00 (€ 26,917.34) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Girolamo Brusaferro - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Samson Freeing Himself, which sold at auction in July 2010 for GBP 75,650.00 (€ 90,960.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Masters Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Expulsion Of Adam And Eve von Girolamo Brusaferro zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 26.917,34) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Girolamo Brusaferro mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Samson Freeing Himself beobachtet, die im Juli 2010 für GBP 75.650,00 (€ 90.960,60) versteigert wurde.
