Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Chiesa argentina by Giovanni Stradone was sold in the ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA auction at Christies in Rome in December 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,232.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giovanni Stradone - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Il Colosseo di notte, which sold at auction in December 2002 for EUR 5,580.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Chiesa argentina von Giovanni Stradone wurde im Dezember 2002 in der Auktion ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA bei Christies in Rom versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.232,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Stradone mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Il Colosseo di notte beobachtet, die im Dezember 2002 für EUR 5.580,00 versteigert wurde.
