This artwork by Giovanni Segantini achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2014. In the 19th Century European Paintings auction, the work Italian Sul Balcone sold for GBP 35,000.00 (€ 45,056.61) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Segantini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le due madri, 1891 in March 2011 with an auction result of CHF 1,440,000.00 (€ 1,108,707.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Giovanni Segantini erzielte im Dezember 2014 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings wurde die Arbeit Italian Sul Balcone für GBP 35.000,00 (€ 45.056,61) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Segantini erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le due madri, 1891 im März 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 1.440.000,00 (€ 1.108.707,61).
