A top price for Giovanni Mannozzi da San Giovanni - as previously expected
In July 2017 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours, which included the work Head of a satyr, looking down by Giovanni Mannozzi da San Giovanni. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,158.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Head of a satyr, looking down is the most expensive artwork by Giovanni Mannozzi da San Giovanni that we have observed at auctions so far.
