Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Drawings, which included the work The Baptism Of Christ by Giovanni Gioseffo dal Sole. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,347.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Giovanni Gioseffo dal Sole have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Penitent Magdalene in June 2007 with an auction result of USD 114,000.00 (€ 84,319.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2009 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Baptism Of Christ von Giovanni Gioseffo dal Sole zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.347,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giovanni Gioseffo dal Sole auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Penitent Magdalene im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 114.000,00 (€ 84.319,53).
