Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2000 a collector was able to acquire the work A turkey, a cockerel and hens eating grapes by a bas relief by Giovanni Crivelli for USD 18,800.00 (€ 22,154.14). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Paintings at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Giovanni Crivelli have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2011 by the work Galli, Colombe E Un Pappagallo Papere, Porcellini D'India E Un Coniglio Presso Un Lago at EUR 36,750.00.
