Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Gods of Olympus unframed by Giovanni Camillo Sagrestani was sold in the Old Master Paintings auction at Bonhams in April this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,120.00 (€ 6,974.80). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giovanni Camillo Sagrestani - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Pietà, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 15,600.00 (€ 23,166.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Gods of Olympus unframed von Giovanni Camillo Sagrestani wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Old Master Paintings bei Bonhams versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.120,00 (€ 6.974,80) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Camillo Sagrestani mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Pietà beobachtet, die im November 2006 für GBP 15.600,00 (€ 23.166,49) versteigert wurde.
