Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2011 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters & 19th Century Art, which included the work The Madonna and Child by Giovanni Battista Vanni. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,050.58) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Battista Vanni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Madonna And Child With An Angel in July 2006 with an auction result of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 87,832.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Madonna and Child von Giovanni Battista Vanni zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.050,58) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Battista Vanni erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Madonna And Child With An Angel im Juli 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 60.000,00 (€ 87.832,97).
