In the 19th Century European Art including The Orientalist Sale auction, the work Italian Blowing Bubbles sold for USD 145,000.00 (€ 93,139.77) - well above the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giovanni Battista Torriglia - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Italian The Thread Of Life, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 228,500.00 (€ 319,959.12).
