In December 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Evening Sale, which included the work Madonna And Child, Before A Draped Curtain, A Landscape Beyond by Giovanni Battista Salvi. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 187,500.00 (€ 208,891.63), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giovanni Battista Salvi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Madonna and Child embracing in an interior, a landscape with Saint Joseph beyond, which sold at auction in July 2012 for GBP 433,250.00 (€ 551,844.05).

Im Dezember 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Madonna And Child, Before A Draped Curtain, A Landscape Beyond von Giovanni Battista Salvi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 187.500,00 (€ 208.891,63) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Battista Salvi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Madonna and Child embracing in an interior, a landscape with Saint Joseph beyond beobachtet, die im Juli 2012 für GBP 433.250,00 (€ 551.844,05) versteigert wurde.
