This artwork by Giovanni Battista Lombardi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in May 2019. In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work Susannah sold for USD 87,500.00 (€ 78,482.38) - well above the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Giovanni Battista Lombardi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Italian Ruth sold at auction in April 2008 with the realized price of USD 133,000.00 (€ 85,431.65).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Giovanni Battista Lombardi erzielte im Mai 2019 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European Art wurde die Arbeit Susannah für USD 87.500,00 (€ 78.482,38) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Giovanni Battista Lombardi; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Italian Ruth im April 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 133.000,00 (€ 85.431,65).
