Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Christies in New York held the auction European Art, which included the work Susanna al bagno by Giovanni Battista Lombardi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 56,700.00 (€ 53,810.38) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Giovanni Battista Lombardi have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2008 the work Italian Ruth was auctioned for USD 133,000.00 (€ 85,431.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Susanna al bagno von Giovanni Battista Lombardi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 56.700,00 (€ 53.810,38) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Battista Lombardi konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2008 die Arbeit Italian Ruth für USD 133.000,00 (€ 85.431,65) versteigert.
