Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lot And His Daughters by Giovanni Battista Langetti was sold in the Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture auction at Sothebys in New York in February 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 80,500.00 (€ 61,549.05) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Giovanni Battista Langetti have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January 2011 the work Joseph Interpreting The Baker'S Dream was auctioned for USD 98,500.00 (€ 71,819.18).
