Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2005 Christies in London held the auction THE SIR RALPH AND LADY HALPERN COLLECTION, which included the work Farewell from the balcony by Giovanni Battista Filosa. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,320.00 (€ 1,914.17). Admittedly, works by Giovanni Battista Filosa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dans La Serre (Indolence) in January 2015 with an auction result of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,071.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion THE SIR RALPH AND LADY HALPERN COLLECTION durch, in der auch die Arbeit Farewell from the balcony von Giovanni Battista Filosa zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.320,00 (€ 1.914,17) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giovanni Battista Filosa auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dans La Serre (Indolence) im Januar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.071,74).
