Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study of a male nude, seated (recto); Study of a pair of legs, seen from behind (verso) by Giambettino Cignaroli was sold in the The Robin and Rupert Hambro Collection auction at Christies in London in June this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,016.00 (€ 2,346.28) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giambettino Cignaroli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Leda And The Swan in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 305,000.00 (€ 225,925.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Study of a male nude, seated (recto); Study of a pair of legs, seen from behind (verso) von Giambettino Cignaroli wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion The Robin and Rupert Hambro Collection bei Christies in London versteigert.
