A top price for Giambettino Cignaroli - as previously expected
In January 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction The Courts of Europe, which included the work Leda And The Swan by Giambettino Cignaroli. The price achieved of USD 305,000.00 (€ 225,925.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Leda And The Swan is the most expensive artwork by Giambettino Cignaroli that we have observed at auctions so far.
