Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2002 Christies in Paris held the auction DESSINS ANCIENS ET DU 19EME SIECLE, which included the work Caricature de bibliothécaire portant un livre by Giovanni Antonio Burrini. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,290.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Antonio Burrini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Saint Jerome in December 2002 with an auction result of GBP 23,900.00 (€ 36,687.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2002 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion DESSINS ANCIENS ET DU 19EME SIECLE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Caricature de bibliothécaire portant un livre von Giovanni Antonio Burrini zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.290,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Antonio Burrini erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Saint Jerome im Dezember 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 23.900,00 (€ 36.687,70).
