Auction result well in line with expectations
In June last year Christies in New York held the auction Old Masters | New Perspectives: Masterworks from The Alana Collection, which included the work The Penitent Magdalene by Giovanni Antonio Bazzi. The price achieved of USD 226,800.00 (€ 216,639.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giovanni Antonio Bazzi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Holy Family With The Infant Baptist In A Landscape, which sold at auction in January 2011 for USD 722,500.00 (€ 526,795.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Masters | New Perspectives: Masterworks from The Alana Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Penitent Magdalene von Giovanni Antonio Bazzi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 226.800,00 (€ 216.639,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Antonio Bazzi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Holy Family With The Infant Baptist In A Landscape beobachtet, die im Januar 2011 für USD 722.500,00 (€ 526.795,48) versteigert wurde.
