The work Portrait of a man by Giovanni Agostino da Lodi was sold in the Old Master Paintings auction at Christies in New York in June 2012. The auction ended at the price of USD 30,000.00 (€ 23,681.72), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Agostino da Lodi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Adoration of the Magi in January 2002 with an auction result of USD 490,000.00 (€ 570,165.23).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Portrait of a man von Giovanni Agostino da Lodi wurde im Juni 2012 in der Auktion Old Master Paintings bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 23.681,72) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Agostino da Lodi erzielen.
