The work Portrait Of A North African, Possibly An Abyssinian by Giovanna Garzoni was worth GBP 52,500.00 (€ 58,489.66) to a buyer in December 2018. This price was achieved in the auction Part I at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Giovanna Garzoni have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A hedgehog in a landscape in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 622,400.00 (€ 455,636.90).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Part I bei Sothebys in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giovanna Garzoni auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A hedgehog in a landscape im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 622.400,00 (€ 455.636,90).
