A top price for Giovanni Battista Todeschini - as previously expected
In December 2007 Sothebys in Milan held the auction 19th Century Paintings and Sculptures, which included the work Madonna by Giovanni Battista Todeschini. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 6,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Madonna is the most expensive artwork by Giovanni Battista Todeschini that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Dezember 2007 führte Sothebys in Mailand die Auktion 19th Century Paintings and Sculptures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Madonna von Giovanni Battista Todeschini zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 6.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Madonna das teuerste Kunstwerk von Giovanni Battista Todeschini, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
