Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2008 Sothebys in Milan held the auction XIXth Century Paintings and Sculptures, which included the work Lungo La Strada by Giovanni Battista Todeschini. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 5,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Giovanni Battista Todeschini have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2007 the work Madonna was auctioned for EUR 6,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2008 führte Sothebys in Mailand die Auktion XIXth Century Paintings and Sculptures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lungo La Strada von Giovanni Battista Todeschini zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 5.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Battista Todeschini konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2007 die Arbeit Madonna für EUR 6.250,00 versteigert.
