This price was achieved in the auction Property of the Scheringa Museum of Realist Art at Christies in Amsterdam and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 1,200.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gino Rubert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Los quatro elementos (a diptych), which sold at auction in September 2012 for EUR 13,750.00.
