Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Composition with horseback rider by Gina Pellón was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in Modern art and design in September this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 8,000.00 – 10,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 4,000.00 (€ 536.28). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gina Pellón achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work “Les fossoyeurs de la pluie” in January 2024 with an auction result of DKK 24,000.00 (€ 20,975.35).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Composition with horseback rider von Gina Pellón im September diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen in Modern art and design versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 8.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 4.000,00 (€ 536,28) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gina Pellón erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit “Les fossoyeurs de la pluie” im Januar 2024 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 24.000,00 (€ 20.975,35).
