Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2016 Christies in Paris held the auction Zeineb et Jean-Pierre Marcie-Rivière: Grands collectionneurs et mécènes, which included the work Sans titre by Gilles Roy. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 500.00 – 70,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,188.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Gilles Roy have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2016 the work É tude No. 21 was auctioned for EUR 1,375.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2016 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Zeineb et Jean-Pierre Marcie-Rivière: Grands collectionneurs et mécènes durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans titre von Gilles Roy zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 500,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.188,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Gilles Roy konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2016 die Arbeit É tude No. 21 für EUR 1.375,00 versteigert.
