Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work Orgue A Pet, 1996 by Gilles Barbier for EUR 1,913.00. This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art 2 at Artcurial in Paris and was even below the estimate range of EUR 3,000.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gilles Barbier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orgue A Pet, L'Effort, 1996 in January 2008 with an auction result of EUR 61,960.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2010 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Orgue A Pet, 1996 von Gilles Barbier für EUR 1.913,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art 2 bei Artcurial in Paris erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gilles Barbier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Orgue A Pet, L'Effort, 1996 im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 61.960,00.
