Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Artcurial in Paris held the auction Generation 21 by Artcurial, which included the work Le terrier - 2008 by Gilles Barbier. The price achieved of EUR 14,432.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gilles Barbier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Orgue A Pet, L'Effort, 1996 in January 2008 with an auction result of EUR 61,960.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Generation 21 by Artcurial durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le terrier - 2008 von Gilles Barbier zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 14.432,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gilles Barbier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Orgue A Pet, L'Effort, 1996 im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 61.960,00.
