Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work View over Stockholm from the window by Gideon Börje was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in October 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 32,000.00 (€ 3,450.28). Admittedly, works by Gideon Börje have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Kastellholmen" in November 2020 with an auction result of SEK 275,000.00 (€ 26,883.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit View over Stockholm from the window von Gideon Börje im Oktober 2014 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 32.000,00 (€ 3.450,28) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gideon Börje auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Kastellholmen" im November 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 275.000,00 (€ 26.883,16).
