Auction result well in line with expectations
In July this year Bonhams in London held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work The Mystic Marriage of Saint Catherine by Giacomo Francia. The price achieved of GBP 25,600.00 (€ 29,867.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giacomo Francia - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Holy Family With Saint Jerome, which sold at auction in July 2009 for GBP 79,250.00 (€ 89,924.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Mystic Marriage of Saint Catherine von Giacomo Francia zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.600,00 (€ 29.867,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Giacomo Francia mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Holy Family With Saint Jerome beobachtet, die im Juli 2009 für GBP 79.250,00 (€ 89.924,99) versteigert wurde.
