Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Works on Paper Online, which included the work Portrait Of A Man Smoking A Pipe by Giacomo Favretto. The price achieved of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,128.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giacomo Favretto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Studio Di Nudo Femminile in December 2008 with an auction result of EUR 60,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Man Smoking A Pipe von Giacomo Favretto zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.128,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giacomo Favretto erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Studio Di Nudo Femminile im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 60.750,00.
