Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Gesner Armand was auctioned at Christies in New York in January 2009, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 62.50 (€ 48.81). Admittedly, works by Gesner Armand have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in January 2009 with an auction result of USD 500.00 (€ 390.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Gesner Armand im Januar 2009 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 62,50 (€ 48,81) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gesner Armand auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Januar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 500,00 (€ 390,50).
