Despite a disappointment, a good price for Gesner Armand
When this work without title by Gesner Armand was auctioned at Christies in New York in January 2009, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 500.00 (€ 390.50). Despite this disappointing result, this work without title is the most expensive artwork by Gesner Armand that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Gesner Armand
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Gesner Armand im Januar 2009 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 500,00 (€ 390,50) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist dieses Werk ohne Titel das teuerste Kunstwerk von Gesner Armand, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
