This artwork by Gertrude Greene achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in February 2016. In the Living With Art auction, the work without title sold for USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,680.53) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Gertrude Greene; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Untitled (38C2) sold at auction in February 2016 with the realized price of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,600.66).
