A top price for Gertrude Demain Hammond - as previously expected
In October 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction British & Continental Paintings, which included the work Highlights (A Study) by Gertrude Demain Hammond. The auction ended at the price of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 7,180.33), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Highlights (A Study) is the most expensive artwork by Gertrude Demain Hammond that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Oktober 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion British & Continental Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Highlights (A Study) von Gertrude Demain Hammond zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 7.180,33) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Highlights (A Study) das teuerste Kunstwerk von Gertrude Demain Hammond, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
