In October 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work A Winter Afternoon In The Green Mountains, Craftsbury, Vermont by Gerrit Albertus Beneker for USD 2,800.00 (€ 2,470.88). This price was achieved in the auction American Art Online at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Gerrit Albertus Beneker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Riding The Tide, Provincetown in April 2017 with an auction result of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,473.15).
