Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Bersaglieri in Crimea by Gerolamo Induno was auctioned at Il Ponte in May 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 5,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerolamo Induno achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Trasteverina uccisa da una bomba in May 2008 with an auction result of EUR 151,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Bersaglieri in Crimea von Gerolamo Induno im Mai 2016 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 4.000,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerolamo Induno erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Trasteverina uccisa da una bomba im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 151.400,00.
