Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Progetto mostra Milano (Project Exhibition Milan) by Gerhard Merz for GBP 812.50 (€ 921.79). This price was achieved in the auction on paper | online at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerhard Merz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ohne Titel in December 2013 with an auction result of EUR 25,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Progetto mostra Milano (Project Exhibition Milan) von Gerhard Merz für GBP 812,50 (€ 921,79) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion on paper | online bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerhard Merz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ohne Titel im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 25.000,00.
