The work Compositie by Gérard Grassère was sold in the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction at Christies in Amsterdam in February 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,075.50 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Gérard Grassère have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2004 the work Geluiden uit de Efteling was auctioned for EUR 2,151.00.

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.075,50 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
