Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work La certitude du fou by Gérard Garouste was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in March last year. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 22,680.00. Admittedly, works by Gérard Garouste have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nature morte au vase bleu - 1984 in December last year with an auction result of EUR 124,640.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit La certitude du fou von Gérard Garouste kam im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 22.680,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gérard Garouste auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nature morte au vase bleu - 1984 im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 124.640,00.
