Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gerard van Donck could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in January 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Master Paintings: Part I auction, the work An Egg Dealer changed hands for USD 75,000.00 (€ 66,430.47) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gerard van Donck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Marriage Portrait Of A Husband And Wife Of The Lossy De Wariné Family, which sold at auction in June 2010 for USD 290,500.00 (€ 236,351.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gerard van Donck konnte im Januar 2015 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Master Paintings: Part I wechselte die Arbeit An Egg Dealer für USD 75.000,00 (€ 66.430,47) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gerard van Donck mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Marriage Portrait Of A Husband And Wife Of The Lossy De Wariné Family beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für USD 290.500,00 (€ 236.351,80) versteigert wurde.
