Auction result misses estimated price range
In August 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Café in the Tuileries, Paris by Gerald Norden for GBP 137.50 (€ 170.50). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 800.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Gerald Norden have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Clementines With Leaves; Lemons; Apples In An Imari Bowl; And Red Currants In A Paper Bag in August 2013 with an auction result of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,465.22).
