Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A Stage Design For Ivan Turgenev'S 'A Nest of Gentlefolk'; The Entrance To The Hermitage by Georgy Kreskentevich Lukomsky was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 600.00 (€ 859.69). Admittedly, works by Georgy Kreskentevich Lukomsky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View of the Louvre in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 7,391.39).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A Stage Design For Ivan Turgenev'S 'A Nest of Gentlefolk'; The Entrance To The Hermitage von Georgy Kreskentevich Lukomsky im März 2006 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 600,00 (€ 859,69) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Georgy Kreskentevich Lukomsky auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit View of the Louvre im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 7.391,39).
