Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Greek Three Figures by Georgios Sikeliotis. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,289.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Georgios Sikeliotis have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May this year the work Monastère du Mont Athos was auctioned for EUR 10,200.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Greek Three Figures von Georgios Sikeliotis zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.289,70) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Georgios Sikeliotis konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai diesen Jahres die Arbeit Monastère du Mont Athos für EUR 10.200,00 versteigert.
